Walk-off Hit Seals Win For Franklin-Simpson Against Logan County Cougar Baseball 2018

A walk-off left Logan County Cougar Baseball 2018 on the wrong end of a 3-2 defeat to Franklin-Simpson on Tuesday. The game was tied at two with Franklin-Simpson batting in the bottom of the tenth when Jacob Curtis singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Franklin-Simpson pitchers struck out 13, while Logan County Cougar Baseball 2018 sat down six.

Franklin-Simpson got things moving in the third inning.

Franklin-Simpson knotted the game up at two in the bottom of the seventh inning. Hunter Crafton drew a walk, scoring one run.

Dalton Fiveash pitched Franklin-Simpson to victory. He went three innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out four and walking one. Matthew Crittenden threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Riley Ferguson took the loss for Logan County Cougar Baseball 2018. He surrendered two runs on three hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out two.

Cole Heinze started the game for Franklin-Simpson. He surrendered two runs on four hits over six innings, striking out nine. Koby Wall started the game for Logan County Cougar Baseball 2018. He surrendered one run on three hits over five innings, striking out four.

Braxton Meguiar went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Logan County Cougar Baseball 2018 in hits.

Curtis led Franklin-Simpson with two hits in five at bats. Franklin-Simpson was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Curtis had the most chances in the field with 15.
